Preset Studio saves a prompt, a reference image, or both as a reusable preset. Use presets in compatible model playgrounds, organize them in folders, share them with an organization, and restore earlier versions. Open Preset Studio
Sign in to your Decart account to manage presets. You do not need an API key. Generating a preview uses credits from your account.

Get started

Create your first preset in 3 steps

1

Open Preset Studio

Sign in to platform.decart.ai, then open Preset Studio.
2

Create your first preset

Select Create Preset. Add a name and a prompt, a reference image, or both.Choose a model family, or choose Any model to use the preset across supported model playgrounds.
3

Apply the preset

Open a compatible model playground. In the preset picker, select Mine, then choose your preset. The model playground loads the preset’s current prompt, reference image, and prompt-enhancement setting.

What is a preset?

A preset is a reusable set of model inputs. It contains a prompt, a reference image, or both. A preset can also store:
  • A model family and prompt-enhancement setting
  • A generated preview
  • A folder and visibility setting
  • Version history and notes
Applying a preset loads its current saved content. Changes you make afterward in the model playground do not update the preset.

Create and manage presets

Ways to create a preset

Create a preset from:
  • Preset Studio, by selecting Create Preset
  • A model playground, by selecting Save as preset to reuse its current inputs
  • A quickstart template, by saving a copy or customizing it

Create from scratch

1

Start a new preset

Open Preset Studio and select Create Preset.
2

Add its content

Enter a name and add a prompt, a reference image, or both. Reference images can be JPEG, PNG, or WebP files.
3

Choose a model

Select a model family to limit the preset to compatible model playgrounds. Select Any model to make it available across supported model families.
4

Configure prompt enhancement

Turn Enhance prompt on to expand the saved prompt before generation.
Lucy 2.5 always enhances prompts applied from presets, regardless of the saved setting.
5

Choose visibility and a folder

If an organization is active, choose whether the preset is private or shared with that organization. You can place a model-specific preset in any compatible folder.
6

Configure the preview

Keep Generate on save enabled to create a preview when you save, or select Generate preview to review one first.Preview generation requires a prompt.
7

Create the preset

Optionally add a note for the first version, then select Create preset. The preset appears in Mine.
Generating or regenerating a preview uses credits. Generate on save is enabled by default, but saving unchanged content with a matching preview does not generate another preview or use more credits.

Start from a quickstart template

Preset Studio includes read-only quickstart templates. Open a template and choose:
  • Save to my presets to create a private copy without opening the editor
  • Customize to open a new preset with the template’s prompt, image, model, enhancement setting, and preview
Either path creates an independent copy when you save. Editing your copy does not affect the published template. If the template has a generated preview, Preset Studio copies it without using additional credits.

Edit a preset

In Mine, select a preset card to open its editor. To update versioned content:
1

Edit the content

Change the prompt, reference image, model, or enhancement setting.
2

Describe the change

Optionally add a version note.
3

Save the version

Select Save new version. It becomes the current version immediately.
Changes to an organization-shared preset affect every member who uses it.

Use version history

Every preset begins with a first version. Later content changes create new versions instead of overwriting earlier ones. The version marked Current is applied in model playgrounds. To reuse an earlier version:
  • Select its history row to load it, make any changes, and select Save new version.
  • Select Use this version to make it current without editing it.
Neither action deletes the version it replaces. You can delete a non-current version when at least one other version remains. Deleting the preset permanently removes the preset and its complete history.

Preview presets

A generated preview applies the preset to a fixed sample image. If the preset contains a reference image, the reference appears as an inset. You can:
  • Select Generate preview to create one before saving.
  • Keep Generate on save enabled to create one while saving.
  • Disable Generate on save to preserve the existing preview.
  • Regenerate after changing the prompt or reference image.
If preview generation fails while saving, Preset Studio still saves the preset or version and keeps the previous preview when one exists.

Organize and share presets

Personal accounts and organizations

The workspace active when you create a preset determines where it belongs. Your personal presets remain in Mine while an organization is active. Switching organizations changes which organization presets and folders are available.

Share a personal preset with an organization

1

Select the organization

Make the target organization active.
2

Open the preset

In Mine, select the personal preset.
3

Change its visibility

Change Visibility from Private to the organization. This moves the preset into that organization and shares it with every member.
If its current folder is not compatible with the new organization or visibility, the preset moves to General.

Organization permissions

Every member of an organization can view, apply, rename, edit, version, roll back, and delete its shared presets. Only the preset creator can change visibility.
Deleting an organization-shared preset permanently deletes it and its history for every member.
Select Copy link on an organization-shared preset to share it with another member. Any member of that organization can open the link, even when a different organization is active. People outside the organization cannot open it. If the creator account is deleted, the shared preset remains available. Its creator appears as Deleted user, and its visibility can no longer be changed.

Folders

Folders group the presets in Mine by model family.
1

Open your folders

Select Mine in Preset Studio.
2

Create a folder

Select the new-folder button beside Folders.
3

Configure the folder

Enter a name, choose a model family, and, when an organization is active, choose private or organization visibility.
4

Add a preset

Open or create a preset with the same model family, then select the folder from its Folder field.
Folder rules:
  • Folders support one level and cannot be nested.
  • Every folder belongs to one model family. Any-model presets cannot be placed in a folder.
  • General is the default folder and a reserved name. It cannot be renamed or deleted.
  • Folder names must be unique within the same model and workspace.
  • An organization-shared preset can only use a shared folder from the same organization.
  • You can rename or delete a folder, but cannot change its model or visibility after creation.
  • Deleting a folder moves its presets to General; it does not delete them.

Find and use presets

Browse Preset Studio

The folder tree appears when you browse quickstart templates or Mine. On smaller screens, it becomes a dropdown. Search spans the selected tab, not only the selected folder. It matches preset names and prompts, plus template descriptions. When an organization is active, filter Mine by Private or Organization visibility.

Apply a preset in a model playground

Compatible model playgrounds let you browse all presets, quickstart templates, or your saved presets. Selecting a saved preset loads:
  • Its current prompt
  • Its current reference image
  • Its prompt-enhancement setting
  • Any-model presets alongside presets for the current model family
Select Manage in Studio from Mine to edit, organize, or delete presets. Selecting an image-only preset does not replace text already entered in the model playground.

Troubleshooting

Check that you are signed in, the correct organization is active, the preset’s model matches the model playground, and Mine or All presets is selected.Choose Any model if the preset should appear across model families.Preset Studio lists the 500 most recently created presets available in your current context. If you exceed that limit, the library reports that older presets are not listed.
Choose a model family first; any-model presets cannot be placed in folders. The folder must use the same organization context and model family. Organization-shared presets require a shared folder.
Select or join an organization first. Without an active organization, new presets are private.
Confirm that the preset is shared with the intended organization and that the person is a member.A private preset is visible only to its creator, even when it belongs to an organization.
The original folder is unavailable or incompatible. It may be private, belong to another organization, or use a different model family.Move the preset to a compatible shared folder.
Add a prompt. Generated previews require one.
Open Mine in a desktop-sized window. Hover over or focus the custom folder in the left sidebar, then select the ••• menu.Folder actions are unavailable in All presets, the quickstart templates, and the narrow-screen folder dropdown. You also cannot rename or delete General, the permanent default folder.A new name cannot be blank, longer than 100 characters, General, or the same as another folder for that model and workspace.Deleting a custom folder moves its presets to General; it does not delete them.
